2003 Honda Civic Maintenace
My friend Andrew needed to get his routine 60,000 mile scheduled maintenance and timing belt replaced on his Honda Civic. The car needed some TLC and if you look at the pics below, you'll see why.
My favorite Honda technician Scott was chosen for the job and as usual, he has done superb job.
Dirty engine bay
Some corrosion on the battery
Old air filter
New air filter
Old cabin air filter (he used to breath in this stuff!!!)
New cabin air filter
After draining the engine oil, coolant and transmission fluid, it was time to replace the timing belt:
Unplugging all the electrical wiring
The engine head pulled apart
One of the accessory belts that were replaced (you can see some small cracks on the old one)
After about 20 minutes of tearing apart half the engine bay, we now finally see the timing belt and the cam gear
Also replaced the water pump (part of the 60,000 mile service)
New timing belt in place
Before the car gets returned to the customer, Scott degrease the engine bay from any leftover chemical fluids and rinses it with water:
All clean:
I highly advise everyone to be up to date with their vehicle manufacturer's maintenance schedule because getting it done will prevent your engine from failure and costing you more money in the long run.

Awesome Video
A few friends with their FF cars and turning them into track monsters:
This is what grassroots racing is all about
Another video by the same author capturing the intensity of the race and how shitty of a track Buttonwillow CW13 is for drivers (similar track condition to Summit Point). Some people see it as a challenge to drive on such bumpy and shitty roads...I see it as an annoyance.
