"...between 12pm and 5pm. Will you home during that time period?" -Shipping Lady
"Yes!" -Me
"Ok, we have you scheduled for drop-off between 12 and 5 PM. Thank you for your choosing us for your shipping needs." -Lady
(It wasn't up to me)
"Thank you." -Me
So what am I getting exactly?
Teasers:
(Downforce DF-R Front Carbon Fiber Splitter)
"But Tae, I thought you already had a front splitter?"
True, but I don't like how my current aluminum splitter sticks out from under the factory front spoiler. I wanted something that would fit more "flush" with the front spoiler, yet not compromising front aerodynamic downforce...so this CF front splitter fit my need perfectly.
(Downforce DF-R Rear Carbon Fiber Diffuser)
The rear diffuser was something I wanted to try out (not many people in the S2K community run diffusers on their track cars, mostly just wings), but these rear diffusers are fully functional. The weekend at VIR had showed me that the S2000 tend to get a little squirmy in the rear on fast straights with small kinks. These small kinks are hardly noticeable at 60mph, but when you're going down the front straight at over 120mph, that small kink will throw off the balance of the suspension significantly...thus causing the car to feel a little nervous. I had to lift off the throttle before the right hand kink to settle the car rather than flooring it until the first braking points.
Friends recommended a rear wing to solve this issue, but I don't have the commitment to run a full 1500-1700mm carbon fiber rear wing...so this is my answer to that dilemma.
Never heard of the company Downforce? They use HEXCEL MIL-spec Carbon composites, build wind-tunnel tested aerodynamic parts, and all composite pieces are built in-house, in the USA. They're kind of a big deal and they serious about building the finest carbon fiber parts in the world (better than most JDM companies). Spared no expense.
